Our Mission
The mission of the Reidsville Downtown Corporation is to creatively manage and enhance the development of Downtown Reidsville as the cultural, historic and economic center of the community; to inspire community ownership and pride in Reidsville's unique assets; and to promote unity and vitality among merchants, customers, local government and citizens.
Diana Moran, RDC Coordinator
Diana Moran, a South Boston, Va. Native came to Reidsville in 1996 with her husband and son. She was very impressed with this small town and its beautiful historic homes and chooses to live in the city limits.
Reidsville’s downtown reminded her of her hometown and childhood shopping at Leggett’s, the local bakery which made hot donuts everyday, going to see the latest movie on the one screen theater with its beautiful red velvet curtain, Christmas shopping with her father at the local jewelry store for something beautiful and special for “Mama”.
In her current position as Coordinator for the Reidsville Downtown Corporation and with help from the Downtown Merchants, she promotes Reidsville’s Downtown District through special events. These events include the annual Spring Shop, Stroll & Cruise In, The Reidsville Downtown & Antique Alley District Street Festival held the second Saturday in October, our Stew Cook Off, and the Downtown’s Holiday Open House events.
Diana also is considered a staff member for the RDC with responsibility for facilitating Board Meetings. She does all this as a part time employee who loves and wants to see Reidsville as a thriving and growing community.
